The drawing is the most immediate form of the realization of an artistic thought and resembles a reading of traces, almost as if one were watching the creation of it, as if one were able to participate in the process of artistic work. Their fascination, whether sketch or elaborated work, lies above all in the legibility of their history of development. Every line, every stroke, every contour seems recognizable and mentally comprehensible. Fantasy, spatial imagination, anatomical knowledge and craftsmanship are openly revealed and show the artist’s temperament, courage and patience. The Galerie KK shows drawings and graphics by Pavel Feinstein, Johannes Grützke, Hartmut Kiewert and Yongbo Zhao, and invites visitors to discover the common and contrasting aspects of the working method in the various artistic positions.
