From November 29 to December 4, 2024, three small-format works of mine will be on display in the members’ exhibition of BBK Leipzig.
“The term “loupe-clean” is used in the assessment of diamonds. “Lupenrein” is considered the highest level of purity (also known as ‘IF’ – Internally Flawless), i.e. a quality feature.
Clearly, the value of an object is not dependent on its size. Nevertheless… size… space… perception… we would all like to have more of it!
The precarious situation of artists with regard to a sufficiently large, secure workplace and sufficient exhibition opportunities has not eased. Our office continues to be extensively involved in our annual theme “Working realities”.
Those of us affected also have the opportunity to point this out again and again.
We will not be discouraged, we want to stay in touch and have fun.
With this in mind: let’s move closer together, there’s room in the smallest hut, and use the “Lupenrein” exhibition to show what might still be possible or visible on a larger scale. We look forward to everyone who wants to help shape this exhibition in the spirit of solidarity.”
